DOG ROCK FIRE UPDATES:
UPDATE 11:40 P.M. - 10/12
Crews are in mop-up mode at the Dog Rock Fire in Yosemite National Park, and the Highway 140 entrance was re-opened on Sunday.
There are still 465 personnel assigned to the fire, and they focusing on hot-spots and removal of hoses and other equipment.
UPDATE 10:35 P.M.
Crews made significant progress on the Dog Rock fire in Yosemite National Park Friday, with containment standing at 54 percent and 311 acres burned. Fire officials said mop-up operations are nearly complete along the north and northeast sections of the fire.
Fire crews and park employees continued their efforts along El Portal Road mopping up hotspots and cleaning the highway of debris.
Pacific Gas & Electric restored power to Yosemite Valley Friday evening.
No structures have been lost in the fire, which started Oct. 7. The cause of the fire is believed to be a spark from a vehicle. There were 553 personnel working the incident as of late Friday.
Road Closures:
Highway 140 from Park Line near El Portal to the Big Oak Flat Road and El Portal Road Junction.

Yosemite National Park officials said Friday the Highway 140 entrance into the Park will re-open Sunday.
The El Portal Road was closed Tuesday because of the Dog Rock Fire. And officials said electrical power to Yosemite Valley is expected to be restored late Friday. The power has been out in the valley since Tuesday night.
The Dog Rock Fire has burned 311 acres and is 20 percent contained as of Friday.
Yosemite officials say crews continue fire suppression efforts and are making good progress.
Officials said all recreational activities in the area of the fire, including hiking, have been restricted because of fire activity.
