Instead, Steinberg is recommending that Wright be removed from the committee he chairs.
That’s less severe than the punishment Steinberg imposed on Democrat Ron Calderon after reports of the FBI targeting Calderon in a corruption investigation.
Steinberg says each case has its own circumstances.
