Jeff Float won the gold medal in the 1984 summer Olympics in the 4x200 freestyle relay. Since he began swimming more than fifty years ago, he has racked up about 35,000 miles moving through the water. He says he still loves to swim every morning.

When Float was training, his coach was Sherm Chavoor. Chavoor also trained swimming sensation, Mark Spitz, among others. Now, Float is returning to Sacramento to coach recreational swim at the Arden Hills Athletic & Social Club, where he started swimming when he was seven years old.
