Public testimony in the impeachment inquiry hearings resumes tomorrow at 6 a.m. It begins  with Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence and Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, director for European Affairs at the National Security Council, who are scheduled to testify.

Tomorrow afternoon, Kurt Volker, the former U.S. special envoy to Ukraine and Tim Morrison, a former National Security Council official, are expected to testify. The GOP minority requested that Volker and Morrison testify. Witnesses will be speaking before the House Intelligence Committee, chaired by California Rep Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) with the ranking member, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Fresno).

Meanwhile, as the House impeachment inquiry progresses, there is discussion on the Senate side about a possible trial in January. Six of the Democratic presidential candidates are members of the Senate and would be forced off the campaign trail when the trial commences.

Kate Irby, McClatchy’s California Congressional reporter joins Insight from Washington, DC with the latest.
