This fall, the ensemble cast is performing "The Comedy of Errors." This early Shakespeare play is one of only two of his works that observes the Aristotelian principle that a play should take place over the course of 24 hours (the other is "The Tempest"). In this play, it’s a race against time to set things right in Ephesus. When two sets of identical twins are mistaken for each other, outlandish confusion runs rampant. The heroes of the show must sort out the mess in time to save an innocent man’s life. The Davis Shakespeare Festival will draw on the vibrant music and psychedelic style of the 1970s for a spirited take on this Shakespeare classic. "The Comedy of Errors" runs through Oct. 13 at the Veterans Memorial Theater at 203 East 14th Street in Davis.
