Cody Drabble / Capital Public Radio In the late '90s, Jolie Holland and Samantha Parton founded The Be Good Tanyas. The duo reunited over a decade later in 2017, and CapRadio's Hey, Listen! host Nick Brunner invited them to share how the inspiration of Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan brought “Wildflower Blues” into full bloom. They were joined by guitarist Stevie Weinstein-Foner for an in-studio performance. Parton explains how a pair of car crashes in 2012 saved her life. Holland extolls the virtues of being born rich (even though she wasn't) and the pair discuss their encounters with a rare species — the female sound engineer.
