One of the country’s largest breweries is stepping up to help those impacted by the Camp Fire.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, which is based in Chico, has a new beer coming out that it says is inspired by the determination of those recovering from the devastating wildfire.
The brew, called Resilience Butte County IPA, will debut in December. And Sierra Nevada says some 1,000 breweries across the country are making it, all the proceeds from its sales going to the brewery’s Camp Fire relief fund.
In Lodi, Beer Company owner Sam Rehmke has already started her batch or Resilience. “It doesn’t surprise me at all that this many breweries have gotten on to help,” she said of the effort. “It’s nice to watch the community come together, the beer community, it’s always been a very close community.”
Rehmke hopes to have Resilience on tap by mid-December.
