In the time since the Stephon Clark police shooting, there has been a more revealing public discussion about the experience of being black in Sacramento.

Insight with Beth Ruyak has been continuing those discussions by talking with people who have powerful voices in this community and a willingness to share how those experiences have shaped their lives and careers.

Today, UC Davis Chancellor Dr. Gary May joins Insight to talk about race, cultural life experiences and the impact of the Clark shooting, which was almost three months ago.

The chancellor put out a campus statement shortly after the shooting in an effort to "lean into" the tragedy and trauma.
