All Evacuations Have Been Lifted For The Pleasant Fire In Nevada County

Wednesday, August 30, 2017 | Sacramento, CA

UPDATE Sept. 1, 5:31 p.m.: All evacuations and road closures have been lifted for the Pleasant Fire in Nevada County. 

The blaze has burned 392 acres and is 61 percent contained. One structure has been damaged and another one has been destroyed.


UPDATE Aug. 31, 5:02 P.M.: One structure has been destroyed in the Pleasant Fire, though firefighters are gaining control.

According to CAL FIRE the fire is now 40 percent contained, and remains at 280 acres burned. Evacuations are still in place within the fire area.


UPDATE Aug. 31, 1:23 P.M.: The Pleasant Fire has now burned 280 acres, according to CAL FIRE. The blaze is 25 percent contained.

Mandatory evacuations remain in place for Robinson Road, Brotherhood Way, Tobacco Road, New School Road and east of Maidu Ridge Road.

Officials say the Pleasant Fire has burned 200 acres and is 10 percent contained. 

Mandatory evacuations are in place for Robinson Road, Brotherhood Way, Tobacco Road, New School Road and east of Maidu Ridge Road.


ORIGINAL: A Nevada County wildfire prompted mandatory evacuations in north San Juan Wednesday evening.

Officials say the Pleasant Fire has burned 100 acres and is zero percent contained. Multiple structures are being threatened. 

Mandatory evacuations are in place for Robinson Road, Brotherhood Way, Tobacco Road, New School Road and east of Maidu Ridge Road.
