Some of the most important people behind Capital Public Radio's
success are the hundreds of volunteers who contribute their time,
energy and expertise throughout the year. Capital Public Radio
volunteers contribute over 4,000 hours each year, with nearly half
of that during on-air fund drives.
You can become a community-minded supporter of public radio and
get to know other passionate supporters of news and information,
jazz and classical music.
IMPORTANT: Since we frequently record and photograph our events,
you must agree to assign without compensation all rights, and
release Capital Public Radio from liability for the recording,
reproduction, exhibition, broadcast, internet streaming and
distribution of your visual image and/or voice for non-profit
use.
Volunteer Options
On-Air Fund
Drive
Three times a year (Winter, Spring
and Fall) we heavily recruit volunteers to staff our phone bank. As
a phone volunteer you answer telephones from listeners calling to
contribute their support.
You can also sign up your group to help during on-air fund
drives. Answering phones is a wonderful team-building activity for
your group. And to show our appreciation, we will announce your
group's participation over the air during your volunteer shift.
When we're recruiting volunteers for these times,
you'll find a telephone image in the right-hand column linked to
the registration form.
