The Sacramento City Council has approved a non-binding term sheet between the city and the Sacramento Republic FC soccer team. The agreement supports the construction of a new $180 million stadium at the Railyards.
Sacramento Republic F-C may not know for a year if it will be one of four Major League Soccer expansion franchises. The league still wants Miami to fill a third opening. New York and Orlando have already been selected.
