For the past 40 years, we have steadily expanded our news and arts coverage on-air, online and in-person to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve. To continue that growth into the future, we are excited to unveil “CapRadio Reimagined,” which is a landmark project in the heart of downtown.
The new state-of-the-art CapRadio headquarters will be a hub for news reporting, healthy civic dialogue and shared community experiences, while also contributing to the vitality and economic health of Sacramento’s downtown area. It will allow us to continue to expand, innovate and evolve to match the vibrancy of our region.
Sutter Health’s significant investment in the new headquarters’ Center for Community Engagement will act as a catalyst for this project, allowing CapRadio to expand on its mission to inspire listeners to look at the world from multiple perspectives, serve diverse audiences and engage our communities more broadly.
As anchor organizations for this region, CapRadio and Sutter Health are both deeply committed to the community. We share the belief that a healthy community is one where people are connected, engaged in creative expression, and have a place to share experiences and exchange ideas through civil dialogue. We’re excited for the future!
New Downtown Headquarters
Located in the heart of downtown at 1010 8th Street
Our new home allows us to reach untapped audiences and build a more visible brand as the region’s foremost in-depth news and information source, arts and culture purveyor, and community convener.
Designed as a centerpiece of our growing communities
To meet the growth in our audience and workforce, we’ll occupy a 34,000 square foot facility designed to accommodate up to 140 staff members. Located on one of the busiest corners in the region, the three-story, all-glass façade allows our staff to be part of and add to the fabric of city life.
Committed to community engagement
The Sutter Health Center for Community Engagement, which holds over 200 people, is an outlet for creativity, expression and outreach. The Center will play an integral role in our commitment to community engagement with hundreds of events planned each year.
