Sea of Bees
This week Sacramento’s Sea of Bees put on an absolutely phenomenal in studio. The steady to heavy rock of the band often belies the soft spoken vulnerability of guitarist/vocalist Jules Bee. The end result is a dreamy mix of deeply personal, twangy pop.
(Why aren’t you listening yet?!?)
While the bands namesake did much of the heavy lifting for the album, Songs for the Ravens, Jules collaborated with drummer James Neil, John Baccigaluppi and Bryce Gonzales (the latter are vets of Sacramento recording studio The Hangar).
For our studio session the band members went so far as to share their Trader Joe’s picnic with the interns (you’ll meet them later).
No time for the full show? Check out the video below, you’ll be as infatuated as we are in no time.
Finally, come by The Townhouse Lounge this Saturday (June 19th) for the band’s record release show. It’s a doozy. Sea of Bee’s members will be double what they are for this week’s show. Sharing the stage will be Yellow Bridge,CA natives, Doombird and John friggin’ Vanderslice!!! Yep. SF studio Tiny Telephone foundin’, Deerhoof & Death Cab for Cutie Recordin’, Critical Accolades Receivin’ John…VANDERSLICE
You should go is my point.

New Faces
Off Air now has three (count em 3!) new people helping produce this dog and pony show. Each of these three smiling faces just completed their freshman year at Fresno State, San Diego State and UCLA respectfully. Together we're gonna set the internet on fire . . . through broadcast education!

Yep, we’re a regular crack commando unit, sent to prison for a crime we didn’t commit.
