Deon Taylor  Sacramento resident Deon Taylor tells you about making horror films and reality television shows in his Northern California studio.

"The Cats of Mirikitani"  Northern California Time of Remembrance is hosting a screening this weekend of an award-winning documentary about Jimmy Mirikitani, a Japanese-American man born in Sacramento who survived the trauma of the WW II internment camps, Hiroshima, and homelessness by creating art. You'll hear about "The Cats of Mirikitani."

Young Artists  The winners of the 3rd Annual Mondavi Center Young Artists Competition perform at UC Davis this weekend. Today on Insight, you’ll meet two of the winners – a 13-year-old pianist Kevin Sun from Carmichael and 16-year-old baritone Michael Reinhard from Davis – and hear highlights from their audition tapes.
