Fake News Is TV news making inappropriate use of video news releases? A media watchdog group says it is. A recent study by the Center for Media and Democracy claims some local and network TV operations have taken video news releases and repackaged them as news stories without attributing the material to the actual producer. A couple of Sacramento TV stations were listed in the study.
