Activist priest / Painting physics / La Musgana

Activist priest  The founder of School of the America’s Watch, an organization dedicated to closing the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (formerly the U.S. Army School of Americas), is speaking in Davis and Sacramento this week. Today on Insight, Father Roy Bourgeois, a Catholic priest, tells you why he has made it his mission to shut down the Fort Benning, GA, military school that trains Latin American officers.

Father Bourgeois speaks from noon to 1 p.m. today in the Hinde Auditorium, California State University, Sacramento; and at 7 p.m. today at the Davis United Methodist Church, 1620 Anderson Road, Davis. Painting physics  Artist Lylie Fisher tells you about her latest project, "In Search of Meaning." Inspired by particle physics experiments conducted at Stanford University in the 1960s, Fisher sees art and physics as one and the same.

La Musgana  A band that plays the traditional folk music of Central Spain is touring the United States and performs tonight at California State University, Sacramento. You’ll meet the members of La Musgana and hear them perform songs from their new CD, "Temas Profanos," live in our studio.
