Michael Frost

Classical Host

Michael Frost

Michael's passion for music began when he was seven years old and found his father’s violin in the attic and started playing. “I became a lover of music that day, and have been one ever since.” He went on to study music performance at Trinity College in London and performed as a violist in London for 12 years. He moved to Sacramento in 1996, where he married his wife Tracey.

Michael began volunteering for Capital Public Radio and KXPR, and was soon hired to work in the traffic department. During the next seven years, he appeared on-air during fund drives and produced arts features for KXJZ. In 2005, Michael began as a classical announcer. “After working at CPR for seven years I felt it was time to get back to my musical roots.”
