Paul Leigh (Professor)

Paul  Leigh is a Professor of Health Economics with the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research at the University of California Davis Medical School.  He has published numerous articles and books on occupational safety and health as well as econometric applications in medical research.  He won the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Directors Award in 2007 for outstanding research . He recently published a paper on the effects of low wages on prevalence of obesity. His co-author was a graduate student , DaeHwan Kim, who recently  received his PhD from the  Economics Department at UC Davis.
