Why We're Excited: Alex Peterson's bedroom recordings sound like nothing of the sort. Heck, they sound nothing like "alex alone." Peterson crafts big, billowing, fuzzed-out shoegaze epics like "planet dust," a song that ought to retroactively dominate every college-radio playlist of 1995. If you think Hum's "Stars" was one of that decade's greatest musical achievements — and you wouldn't be alone — grab a pair of headphones and strap in.
