Officials Investigate 'Gifting' Of Amish Girl To Older Man

Officials acting on a tip Thursday, June 16, 2016, found the 51-year-old Kaplan at his Feasterville, Pa., home, along with 12 girls ranging in age from six months to 18 years. Kaplan's charged with aggravated indecent assault. The girl's father, Daniel Stoltzfus, is charged with conspiracy of statutory sexual assault and children endangerment. Officials in rural Feasterville, Pennsylvania, are investigating a 51-year-old man who had been living for several years with nearly a dozen young Amish girls. One apparently had been “gifted” to him by their financially struggling parents. Justine McDaniel of the Philadelphia Inquirer talks to Here & Now’s Robin Young about the case.
