Retail giant Target has announced that it will lay off thousands of employees, mainly in the company’s headquarters, as part of a restructuring plan that aims to save $2 billion over two years.
Retail analyst Sucharita Mulpuru of Forrester Research says there’s competition for every dollar and. many large retailers are restructuring in order to be leaner and more competitive.
