DAVID GREENE, HOST:
Good morning. I'm David Greene. Still no motive in an attack in Idaho the other night. The crime scene was something. Sue Sausser woke up and found feathers everywhere. Her birdcage was open. One of her canaries was dead, the other terrified. Sausser found the perpetrator hiding behind a chest of drawers - a brown owl. The animal had flown into the 10-story apartment and carried out the attack. Sausser has no plans to close her balcony door. She likes the breeze. She is going to put twist-ties on the door of her birdcage. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
