Yesterday, Amazon reported a $126 million loss in its second quarter and warned that sales could slow. The losses were nearly double what the company had forecast. Amazon's growing list of investments, including its first smart phone which launched last month, are being blamed for the loss, along with its foray into digital content production like computer games and TV shows.
