Study: Beards Are Sexier When They Are Rarer
NPR
Friday, April 18, 2014
Bearded BBC science reporter James Morgan discusses the latest research on beards.
New research shows that the ebb and flow of men’s beards may be guided by evolution. The scientists who did the study say they found that the more beards there are, the less attractive they are to people, giving clean-shaven men a competitive edge.
Bearded BBC science reporter James Morgan joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss the research. He considers the question, “have we reached ‘peak beard’?”
