Closing The Hangar - A legendary recording studio in Downtown Sacramento used by artists ranging from Kanye West to Sister Crayon is closing in March for financial reasons. After more than 20 years of operating, The Hangar is closing up shop. Owner John Baccigaluppi says he can't afford to keep running the studio at its current site which is an old warehouse on 15 Street. Baccigaluppi is moving to Marin County where he'll reopen The Hangar as a home recording studio. Meanwhile, Baccigaluppi and producer Chris Woodhouse will open a new Sacramento studio in the General Produce Building near The Hangar. We'll talk with Baccigaluppi about the history of The Hangar and we'll hear clips from some of the acts that have recorded there.
