"Land of Milk and Money" Anthony
Barcellos has weaved together a fictionalized account of a
family's immigration to the United States and the sacrifices they
make to create a better life for their children in his new book "Land of Milk
and Money." The American River College professor based the book
on the exerience of his own parents. We'll talk with him about his
work.
Jewish Film Festival The 16th Annual Jewish Film Festival will be hosted
at the Crest
Theatre this month and will show both short- and feature-length
films. We'll talk about the festival with director and Crest
Theatre manager Sid Garcia-Heberger and we'll hear from Roberta
Grossman, who directed the feature film "Hava Nagila."
"A Palette of Leaves" Poet and artist Edythe Haendel Schwartz talks with us about her
latest book "A Palette of Leaves." The retired Sacramento
State teacher won first prize in the Friends of Acadia Poetry
Competition, and shw was a Poetry Finalist in Poets and Writers
2012 California Writers Exchange Award for a group of 10 poems
titled "Brushstrokes."
