Super Bowl Reaction The San Francisco 49ers
lost its quest for a sixth Super Bowl title this past weekend to
the Baltimore Ravens. Northern California was swept up in
Kaepernick Fever, and even though the team lost, San Francisco
quarterback Colin Kaepernick still managed to thrill fans with a
second-half surge. Today on Insight, we'll recap some of the
highlights and follow up with Rod Hollars, Principal of John
Pittman High School in Turlock, where Colin Kaepernick went to
school.
Remembering Our Roots To celebrate the 50th
anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech
in Washington D.C., Clarence B. Jones - former personal counsel,
adviser, speechwriter and close friend of Dr. King - will deliver
the keynote address at "Remembering Our Roots: Celebrating Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. at King Hall." Jones' appearance is part of
a larger event at UC Davis to remember the Civil Rights movement.
The program starts at noon Monday at the UC Davis Conference Center
and is free and open to the public.
California's Job Climate California is a
state with a split business personality, according to a new story
in the Sacramento Business Journal. It's business regulations are
killing off low-wage manufacturing jobs but they're also fostering
high-wage technology jobs. Mark Anderson, staff writer for the
Sacramento Business Journal, has just written an in-depth article
