Memories of McClatchy Library  We expect libraries to house books--not produce them. But the Ella K. McClatchy Library in Sacramento has recently published "Memories of McClatchy Library," a rich collection of memories from the early 1940s to current times. The book is a compilation of 41 authors, with five editors, and began as a cookbook. We'll talk with the Friends of McClatchy Library President and newsletter editor, both members of the editing committee.

High School Music Exchange The Rio Americano Band Program has a long history of top-notch music.  They've played their music around the world, attained national recognition, and congratulated fellow trombonist Michael Wang as he received the coveted Presidential Scholarship from the Berklee College of Music.  They've done this, and much more, under the direction of Mr. Josh Murray and Mr. Max Kiesner, and are now performing in Sacramento alongside Chatswood High School band members.  (That's Chatswood, as in a subarb of Sydney, Australia.)  We're joined today by director Josh Murray and students of both Rio Americano and Chatswood today to discuss the fun and success of their long journey.
