Capitol Chat It's been a big week for
California Gov. Jerry Brown. His tax initiative, Prop. 30, passed
at the polls and means trigger cuts for education won't go into
effect. Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler wraps things up in Capitol
Chat.
Covering Campaigns It seemed like this
election cycle went on for years, but now that it's over, what can
we learn from how the media covered it? We'll talk about the
business of covering campaigns with former Sacramento Bee Political
Editor Bill Endicott. How did the national new media do when it
came to covering presidential politics and how has it changed over
the years.
Kyle Thielen Whether spearheading "November
Knockout Alleycat," an upcoming bike race/scavenger hunt,
organizing fellow high school students in a political rally at the
Capitol, or competing in water polo semi-finals, "Cogs for Cause"
founder Kyle Thielen is on the move--and he's hoping others will
be, too. "Cogs for Cause" is his way of giving back to C.K.
McClatchy High School's athletic department, and drawing attention
to high school athletic programs and the current obesity epidemic.
Join us as we speak with Kyle in our studio today.
Leon "Kid Chocolate" Brown What's not to love
about jazz, wine and Cajun cooking? Singer and trumpeter Kid
Chocolate performs at the Old Sugar Mill tonight, as part of a Cajun/Creole
wine and dinner event--but speaks with us first. Join us as we
talk with Kid about his New Orleans musical style.
