Insight: Vice Presidential Debate Analysis / NPR President Gary Knell / Laura Ling / Jay Bakker

Vice President Debate Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan meet for the first and only Vice Presidential debate Thursday, October 10. Stakes are high for Biden, who has to do damage control for Pres. Obama's performance during the first presidential debate. Ryan's challenge will be in how well he represents the GOP's plan and whether he can capitalize on Romney's recent success.

Gary Knell There was no mention in last night's debate, of funding cuts to PBS - but when Mitt Romney suggested it during the first Presidential debate, Gary Knell surely must have said "what?".  He's the man who for 12 years was CEO of Sesame Workshop, expanding Sesame Street worldwide.  Less than a year ago, he moved to public RADIO and became NPR's President and CEO.  Today, Gary Knell is in our studio … the President of National Public Radio.
