last night by Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan.

for the California State Legislature and it marks the
deadline for California lawmakers to pass a number of new bills.

Intellectual Property Since Apple successfully sued Samsung for stealing copyrighted ideas like its pinch-zoom photo function, many legal analysts predict technology companies will become more careful about where they get their ideas from and how they express them. How do intellectual property laws affect you and when does sharing or borrowing ideas become stealing? Madhavi Sunder is a law professor at UC Davis who has recently written a book on the topic, "From Goods to a Good Life: Intellectual Property and Global Justice." She explains how these laws can protect you from exploitation and inhibit your freedom. She is signing copies of her book today at UC Davis and tomorrow at the Avid Reader in Davis.
Eric Bibb and Richie Lawrence There are two eclectic concerts happening in Sacramento this weekend. On Friday, Richie Lawrence and the Yolos will perform at Final Friday@Beatnik Studios in support of his new album "Water." And on Saturday night, the Eric Bibb String Band performs for the very first time in Sacramento. Richie Lawrence and Katie Thomas join us in studio this morning to perform a live song from the new album. And we'll hear clips from Eric Bibb's new CD "Deeper in the Well."
