Cost of Fire Season California
cut Cal Fire's budget by more than $30 million last year
and $27 million this year, but the state
still needs to fight fires. So what happens in
years of excessive fires? Where does the money come from
when the state's firefighting budget runs dry?
Medicaid Block Grants Paul Ryan's budget plan has the potential to
change California's implementation of Medicaid and the Affordable
Care Act. He wants the states to use block grants instead of
cost sharing and eliminate the ACA. We'll explore how this would
work, how it would affect Medicaid recipients and if it's even
possible. Dylan Roby, Assistant Professor of Health
Policy & Management UCLA Fielding School of Public Health joins
us.
Fires Update A brief update from Cal
Fire on some fires currently burning in California.
