Capitol Chat In our regular weekly segment,
we hear what's been happening in the State Capitol this week. High
speed rail, the senate confirmation of Steve Glazer to the
California State University Board of Trustees, and tax day are a
few of the issues we'll be talking about. Here to wrap up
these topics with us is Capital Public Radio's Capitol Bureau Chief
Ben Adler.
SactoMoFo With the fourth Sacramento Mobile
Food Truck festival (SactoMoFo) and its 27+ mobile vendors from all
over the NorCal region fast approaching, we talk with some of
the participants to discuss the event with a slightly
different angle: why more and more food trucks are making the
switch from mobile to brick-and-mortar.
Bill German Bill German was a mere 17 years
old when he first met the Rolling Stones. They welcomed the
young man and hired him to be their official historian and, before
he knew it, he was traveling the world with them and witnessing
their wild concerts, private jam sessions, and decadent
parties. Somehow, Bill managed to maintain his naivete while
hanging out with some of rock and roll's most infamous bad boys,
and he's joining us today on Insight to share some of the stories
from his new book, "Under Their Thumb: How A Nice Boy From Brooklyn
Got Mixed Up With the Rolling Stones and Lived to Tell About It."
Sound Advice: Jazz Capital Public Radio's
Jazz and All Things Considered host, Devin Yamanaka, joins us with
