Mayor Johnson We're going to talk to
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson about his year-long dealing
and negotiating to keep the Kings from relocating and what the next
steps in the process will be. We'll also ask him his bid for
reelection, green initiatives, and work with area charter
schools.
SXSW A handful of Sacramento bands will be
representing Sacramento's musical prowess this week at the
country's preeminent music festival, South by Southwest. Nick Brunner, host of
Capital Public Radio's Blue Dog
Jam, will be at the festival in Austin, Texas following
Sacramento bands and getting the skinny from some of scene's
biggest musicians, producers, and record label reps.
Nick joins us all this week (3/12-3/15) with audio from
the festival and excerpts from his interviews.
"At the Gates of the Wolf's Lair" Adolf
Hitler didn't have a son, but a new novel by Roseville author Roger
Barrick exists under the premise that Hitler has a son who is alive
and plotting a global takeover. The novel is called "At the
Gates of the Wolf's Lair" and a sequel is due out soon.
Barrick prides himself as one of the nation's leading World War II
historians. His book is well researched and contains
significant historical detail.
Irish Rock & Roll Musicians from two of
Sacramento's most well known Irish bands, Whiskey and Stitches and Stout Rebellion, join forces in our studio to
play an acoustic crossbreed of each other's music.
