Cave People of the Himalayas UC Merced
professor Mark Aldenderfer joined Everest climber
and thrill seeker, Pete Athans, in search of the caves and mummies
of a lost civilization. There they will risk their own safety to
reveal astonishing evidence of a previously unknown, 1500-year-old
death ritual high in the Himalayan caves. Aldenderfer will be
featured in "Cave
People of the Himalaya," a new National Geographic documentary
airing on PBS Wednesday, February 15.
Kristin Hartman Kristin Hartman
studied art at Sacramento State and later became a member of the
Folsom Arts Association and the Sutter Street Artists
group, both of which she still works with today. Trees are her
subject. She says her inspiration is Sacramento, "the City of
Trees." Her oil on canvas paintings are being shown in multiple
places around town. She's the featured artist of the month on
Sacramento 365.com, she was recently the
featured artist at the Petra Vineyard Tasting Room, the Folsom Lake Entertainer ran a feature story on
her in January, and her newest exhibit at j27 gallery
runs from through the end of this week.
Jazz Gitan Jazz Gitan is a an acoustic jazz trio inspired
by Belgian-gypsy jazz virtuoso Jean "Django" Reinhardt. The
gypsy-jazz trio will perform in our studio ahead of their Mardis Gras Festival performance Saturday on
the Delta King.
