Detecting Diabetes with Eye Exams Eye exams
can detect chronic diseases like diabetes sometimes up to seven
years before symptoms are present. We'll ask VSP Optometrist
Dr. Stephanie Kirschbaum how eye exams detect
diseases, and what regular eye exams may mean for disease
prevention. Rancho Cordova based VSP Vision Care is the nation's largest
not-for-profit vision care company. It's urging the United
Nations General Assembly to put more pressure on developing nations
to perform eye exams as a means to prevent disease.
