Reno Air Race Crash A 10th person died this
morning from Friday's plane crash at the Championship
National Air Races in Reno, Nevada. Now, airport authorities are
saying speed will most likely take a backseat
to safety in future races. We'll get the latest updates

Famine in Kenya Local physician Hernando Garzón has just returned from a
humanitarian assessment of the famine in East Africa. Garzón is part of
a relief effort trying to determine what it's going to take to set
up a nutrition program and medical clinics in Nairobi, Kenya.
Garzón also provided emergency medical care in the Oklahoma City
bombing, 9/11, the tsunami in Sri Lanka, and the earthquake in
Haiti. Garzón is an emergency medicine physician with Kaiser
Permanente in Sacramento and Roseville.
Peter Detwiler Long-time senate staffer Peter Detwiler is retiring after decades at
the California capitol. He is a virtual encyclopedia of
knowledge about many different subjects. Today is the first day of
his retirement.
