Medication Adherence Three out of four Americans admit they don't take their medication as directed by their doctor. The National Consumers League is teaming up with pharmacists for a national campaign called "Script Your Future." The campaign is being launched in Sacramento and five other cities and it focuses on the rising costs of re-treating patients that find themselves in the hospital for improperly taking their medication.
Ethiopian Infanticide After the housing boom crash in 2008, former Sacramento real estate developer Levi Benkert moved to rural Ethiopia with his wife to save children with birth defects from being killed by tribal elders. Levi is back in Sacramento this summer preparing to publish his memoir, "Drawn from Water," which focuses on his experiences with tribal infanticide in Africa. We'll talk with Levi.
