Sacramento's Economy Sacramento's economy remains in a recession while other parts of the state, including the San Joaquin Valley are showing signs of improvement, according to a new forecast out of UOP. Today on Insight, we'll talk about what it means for the area with Jeffrey Michael, Director of the UOP Business Forecasting Center.
Saving the Bay Narrated by Robert Redford, "Saving the Bay" explores the history of one of America's greatest natural resources - San Francisco Bay - with four one-hour episodes tracing the Bay from its geologic origins to restoration efforts of today. This series takes viewers on a journey around the waters of San Francisco Bay and the larger northern California watershed from the Sierra Nevada mountains to the Farallon Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It begins airing on KVIE tonight and runs through May 13th. We'll talk about it with producer Ron Blatman.

Bill Cunningham A new documentary about fashion photographer Bill Cunningham is getting rave reviews and it opens this weekend in Sacramento. A benefit for The Verge Center for the Arts will open the show and feature a post screening panel discussion with local fashion bloggers. We'll talk about the film with Richard Press, the film's director. Plus, we'll talk about local fashion with bloggers Lorena Beightler of Sac Cycle Chic and Kari Shipman of Juniper James. You'll also meet Liv Moe, Executive Director of Verge Center for the Arts.
"Bill Cunningham New York" opens at 8 p.m. Friday, April 22nd and will be followed immediately by the panel discussion at the Crest Theatre, 1013 K St., Sacramento. A trunk show begins at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby.
Real-Fake Exhibit An exhition at Sacramento State using 3D computer graphics to explore contemporary art is now open. We'll talk about "The Real-Fake" with artist Rachel Clarke, who curated the exhibit and is the Associate Professor in Electronic Art at Sac State.
"The Real-Fake" exhibit runs through Saturday, May 28th at the Sacramento State Library Gallery. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Information: (916) 278-4189.
