Smart Growth Study A new study says Californians would save a lot of time and money with better city planning. The study was funded by the California High-Speed Rail Authority. Urban design and architecture company Calthorpe is partnering with the California High-Speed Rail Authority in an urban plan following the study that concludes that high-speed rail can save money, cut pollution and reduce dependency on oil. We'll talk about it.

ElectroPoetic Coffee ElectroPoetic Coffee, a duo made up of jazz musician Ross Hammond and poet Lawrence Dinkins, was one of the featured players at this year's "In the Flow Festival". Dinkins organized an event that featured poetry readings to music. The duo performs this Friday at Weatherstone Coffee in Sacramento.
