Prop 15 – California State Proposition 15 on the June ballot concerns the California Fair Elections Act – it would provide public financing of the secretary of state race as a pilot program funded by an increased fee on lobbyists, and repeal the ban on publicly funded campaign financing. We’ll hear arguments for and against.
Measure V – Woodland City ballot measures V, S, T, and U are being voted on in June’s election. Opponents say the Measure V proposed 1/4 cent sales tax increase is being presented in a way that would allow funds to be used for general fund expenditures instead of the projects specified by the companion advisory measures. We’ll hear the pro and con arguments.
Sacramento Jazz – The 37th annual Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee takes place in Sacramento this weekend. We’ll talk with the organizers about the Festival’s history and what to expect this year.
