Physician Hiring Ban California has a shortage of doctors in rural areas and a new Senate bill aims to lift a legal ban that critics say perpetuates the problem. Yesterday on Insight, we talked with a doctor and legislative advocate for the Association of California Healthcare Districts who support SB 726. Today, we hear from the opposition, which includes the California Medical Assocation and the Central Valley Heath Network.
Natomas Permits Update Capital Public Radio's Ben Adler joins us to talk about some of the latest happenings at Sacramento's City Hall, including the recent controversy over permits being issued for building in Natomas despite FEMA's moratorium on it.
Blue Tuesday Blue Tuesday is an indie rock band from Nevada City. They've recently released a new album and have a couple of gigs coming up. What makes Blue Tuesday particularly interesting is that all of the members are seniors in high school and they've been playing together since the 7th grade. The band came down to our studios yesterday to play a few songs and talk with Off Air's Nick Brunner.
