A Prairie Home Companion: Where the Beat is Tough

This week, our summer rebroadcasts continue, with a show originally from last October at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee. The Milk Carton Kids perform their song about the River City, our staff blues singer Hilary Thavis sings “That’s Alright, Mama,” and theatre organist Tony Thomas plays a few tunes on the Orpheum’s Mighty Wurlitzer. In Lake Wobegon, the Hedlunds dig up a local ghost story.
