Meg Waite Clayton Visits CapRadio Reads

Tuesday, August 9, 2016 | Permalink

In September, we move from lovely Belgravia in London to war torn Europe.  We are so pleased to be welcoming Meg Waite Clayton who will be in conversation with Donna Apidone about her latest book The Race For Paris.

Ms. Clayton is the author of many wonderful books including The Wednesday Sisters and The Wednesday Daughters.  The Race For Paris is clear a departure for her. This is a historical novel as well as a story of friendship and love.

The narrator, Jane Tyler, meets Olivia Harper in a field hospital in France in June 1944. They are both journalists there to cover the war, but facing huge obstacles trying to get over the sexist barriers, which would allow them to cover the action.  How they accomplish their jobs is the basis of this wonderful, action filled and beautiful story.

Please join us to learn about the book as well as the lives of female journalists during this time. We will see you on Tuesday, September 13 at 6 pm.
