Meg Waite Clayton's The Race For Paris is full of "Girl Power". Clayton, who will be joining us for our September CapRadio Reads author event, writes women well. Her books The Wednesday Sisters and The Wednesday Daughters both had wonderful strong and interesting women characters. In them, Clayton writes of romance, lifelong friendship, family and strong emotional ties.
In her new book, The Race For Paris, she continues to use women's lives, and this time, their careers, to further her story. We see two women journalists, at great personal peril, hurtling toward Paris to report on one of the biggest stories of the 20th century, the Liberation of Paris.
Along the way, there are more stories to live through, and more tangled emotions to crawl through. All of this goes into the making of a terrific story, which I'm certain you will enjoy.
I'm equally certain you will enjoy meeting Ms. Clayton and hearing the details of her research and travels that came together to make this book. Please join us on Tuesday, September 13 at 6pm and get the full scoop!
