Historical events seen through current political eyes.

Several weeks ago, the Republican candidate for president called for "an idealogical screening test" for persons wishing to enter our country. Of course, this is not a new idea, and also it did not start with the McCarthy Era. The US has had policies like this before, and many feel they were some of the worst policies in our countries' history.  What can happen when these policies become entrenched is seen in our October selection The Hours Count by Jillian Cantor. Whether you believe in the Rosenberg's guilt or innocence, you will read the story and be so intrigued, I think you will want to do more research. Please join us for what is certain to be an interesting and provocative discussion. October 11 at either 2pm or 6pm in our Community Room.
