We're less than a week away from our Face to Face book club meetings about C.W. Gortner's book, Mademoiselle Chanel. You didn't have much time for this one, but you probably enjoyed it so much, you just read through the night.

What a fascinating tale of a courageous, sometimes difficult, but always stylish woman. I spent as much time researching Coco on the Internet as I did reading this book. Rumors about her involvements with men, women and the Nazis have circulated for years. This is a novel, so no claims are made that this is the TRUE story, but I do think it is a sympathetic one. Gortner’s story is accurate in many of the historical details.

As you read this marvelous book, take a look at the photos of Chanel’s designs and her homes on the Internet. She was truly a classic in all ways, and she is a whole lot of fun to read about!

Come join one of our discussions on Tuesday, February 9, at 2pm or 6pm. We'll have a few treats for you and a great conversation, for sure!
