We are hoping you have enjoyed reading Katie Hafner's memoir, Mother Daughter Me. Now you have the opportunity to hear the discussion. Katie will be our April guest for the popular (and always delicious) CapRadio Reads. She will discuss the book, her career and her family with Morning Edition Host Donna Apidone.
Weaving her past with her present, Hafner's journey of living in a household with her teenage daughter Zoe, and her elderly narcissistic mother, frames this book. What makes it a great read is her total lack of stereotype. Rather than the alcoholic grandmother being the source of most of the static, it is the lifelong Mama's Girl daughter, who seems unable to cope with someone taking up her mother's time or heart. Even the psychologist performs in a different way than you might expect.
The book is a journey and an account of love, anger and forgiveness. The conversation is sure to be tremendous.
Get your tickets to join us on Tuesday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. in our Community Room. While you're at it, sign up to receive first notice of upcoming events. We have some amazing authors coming up this Summer and you won't want to miss out.
Thanks, as always, for reading.
