Greetings from Bloomsbury!  I am writing from the literary hub of London. I can almost hear the voice of Virginia Woolf as I wander toward the British Museum.  My Pilgimage is not getting the attention that Harold's did, but I am enjoying it, none the less.

Are you feeling the blisters on Harold's feet.  What do you actually think of his status as "fellow pilgrim"?  What does Harold really think of it?  Harold has had many epiphanies on his journey.  Is this really a trick by Rachel Joyce to keep the story moving or are they integral to Harold's personality.   Did you feel the book was well written or a little too syrupy?

One thing I will do while here is stop into some bookstores and see what the staff have to say about this book.  It would be interesting to hear how they feel their country was regarded in the book as it has been interesting to see places mentioned.  I made the journey from Durham to Hexam (a jumping off point for our walk of Hadrian's Wall), but I made the journey in a train, with my feet up!

Can't wait for our discussion on  October 8th at 6:30pm in the Community Room.  I should be over the jet lag by then and be able to lead us all on a merry chase.

As always thanks for reading and Cheerio!
