What a book this is turning out to be. No wonder it has been receiving accolades from NPR, The New York Times, The Guardian and many of my book loving colleagues. How are you finding it?
What really happened to Talmadge's sister? What really happened in that dreadful house that Jane and Della came from? What in the world will become of Angelene? I am finding this book dark, but exhilarating. the visualization of the valley, the trees, the horses and of course the characters is tremendous and really sucks you completely into this world. I find Coplin's writing haunting and absolutely entrancing. Suspicions are on every page, but she is very clever at keeping us guessing.
